About KANFA-TEC
KANFA-TEC AS is a Norwegian company within Design and engineering of Thermal Energy Concepts offering services to the offshore and marine industry. The company was founded in February 2002 as Thermal Energy Concepts by three multi-discipline engineers with an average of 9 years of experience from the offshore world. In October 2002 KANFA AS came in as an owner and the name was changed from Thermal Energy Concepts AS to KANFA-TEC AS
KANFA-TEC AS was founded by the key personnel behind the three first offshore combined cycles on oil platforms. The founders references include all stages of delivery of the Heat Recovery Steam Generator module (HRSG) for the combined cycles including development, design, marketing, sales, project execution, delivery, commissioning support, start-up and initial operation of the plants.
KANFA-TEC AS is an independent company with regard to technology, clients and vendors.
KANFA-TEC AS is a supplier of thermal energy equipment and systems, especially for gas turbine heat recovery, and can also carry out consultancy services, i.e. design, studies and troubleshooting.
KANFA-TEC AS is a company in the Sevan Marine Group, and receives financial and marketing support from KANFA AS.
PROJECT EXECUTION STRATEGY
KANFA-TEC AS will take on the technical responsibility and give full process and mechanical guarantees for equipment, typically for Waste Heat Recovery Units (WHRU), Heat Recovery Steam Generators (HRSG) and Once Through Steam Generators (OTSG). For larger deliveries, KANFA-TEC will seek alliances with e.g. contractors or fabricators.
KANFA-TEC AS in-house work includes project management, technical/process design and solutions, arrangement drawing/layout, purchase of valves, instruments and equipment, PFDs, P&IDs, etc
KANFA-TEC AS will outsource purchasing of piping and steel, detail engineering (mechanical calc, pipe stress, structural analyses etc.) and fabrication/assembly
CONSULTANCY, STUDIES AND TROUBLESHOOTING
KANFA-TEC also contributes with consultancy work, varying from initial field studies to offshore troubleshooting of heat recovery equipment for gas turbines, heating medium and steam systems equipment. Based on extensive process and mechanical knowledge from years of experience in design, manufacturing, installation and start-up in the offshore world, KANFA-TEC can offer a wide range in disciplies and know-how. In-house we have design and simulation tools for heat recovery equipment. Through our owner, KANFA AS, we have both personnel and licences (FLUENT) for Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD), as well as HYSYS for simulation of complete process plants.
